This Air Fryer Chicken Breast recipe makes juicy, tender chicken with a perfectly seasoned, crispy outside. It’s quick, healthy, and perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep!
Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound them with a meat mallet or rolling pin to even out the thickness. This helps them cook evenly in the air fryer.
Turn on your air fryer and set it to 375°F (190°C). Let it preheat for 3–5 minutes while you season the chicken.
Rub each chicken breast with olive oil on both sides. In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this spice mix evenly on both sides of the chicken.
Lay the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don’t overcrowd—leave some space for the air to circulate.
Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 9 minutes, then flip the chicken over. Cook for another 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest on a plate for 5 minutes before slicing. This keeps it juicy.
Slice and enjoy with your favorite sides like steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, or salad.
Notes
Give each piece space in the air fryer basket. This helps the air circulate and crisps up the outside.
