- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley chopped (optional)
Cook fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Season chicken slices with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook gently until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously, and simmer gently for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Reduce heat to low and gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until fully melted and sauce is smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Add the cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet. Toss gently until everything is well-coated with the sauce.
Transfer to serving plates or a large bowl, garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
